Tl;dr and links

  • I started a low-effort “recorded conversation” podcast

    • Spotify

    • Google Podcasts

    • Apple Podcasts

    • RSS feed to paste wherever: https://anchor.fm/s/e42eb9ec/podcast/rss

    • They’re also on this Substack, complete with decent summaries and mediocre transcriptions

Background, sorta

A little over a year ago, I wrote about my experience creating a podcast episode with the 80,000 Hours team. That was supposed to be the first episode of (half defunct, half stillborn) All Good, but frankly the amount of time and effort it required scared me away until like two months ago.

That was when, luckily for me, I saw Pradyumna’s (author of Bretton Goods which you should subscribe to) tweet while in a pro-pod mood, set up Pigeon Hour (the name doesn’t mean anything interesting or clever I promise) and got some friends to chat in front of a mic.

Anyway, this is explicitly a low effort podcast. That could change in the future, but for now it’s gonna be mediocre sound quality, minimal editing, and Clong-written descriptions.

I have five real episodes up, so check out whichever piques your interest, if you’re so inclined! Below are links to the episode pages attached to this blog, each of which now has an (again, mediocre) transcript.
